Epoxy Flooring

Epoxy consist of polymer materials that begin as liquid and are chemically changed into a solid. An epoxy coating is chemically distinct from regular floor paints. A resinous flooring consists of a two-part system. One part is made of epoxy resin (the base), which is cross-linked with a hardener (curing agent). When epoxy resin and hardener is properly measured and mixed, it reacts to one another creating a chemical bond with each compound along with the floor itself. This chemical bond then creates a material thats durable, resistant to degradation or wear including a solvent resistant finish, and bonds exceptionally well to its substrate. Epoxy coating are formulated based upon the performance requirements for the end product.
